Q: Patrick, we’re excited to hear about your LASIK experience with Dr. Mozayeni, but before we dive into that, can you tell us a bit about yourself and your family?
A: I’m originally from Albemarle, North Carolina, but I’ve been in the Charlotte area now for about 31 years. My wife, seven-month-old daughter and I live in Matthews. We love it here! As far as work goes, I work in financial crimes compliance.
Q: That’s awesome! What do you like to do when you are not working?
A: I enjoy spending time with friends and family and attending Panthers' football games. I also enjoy traveling; I once visited Tokyo, and my wife and I went to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic on our honeymoon.
Q: Those sound like great vacations! We bet you were wearing some killer sunglasses on the beach in Punta Cana! What is your favorite type of sunglasses?
A: Before the LASIK surgery, I had to be a little pickier about my sunglasses. Now that I don’t have to worry about prescription sunglasses, I really like polarized knockoff wayfarers.
Q: Matthews is not too far away from Providence Eye. Is that why you chose us for your LASIK eye surgery?
A: No, not at all. That was just luck! I've always heard good things about Dr. Mozayeni, and all the patient testimonies seemed really great. I was most concerned with having a safe and successful LASIK experience than finding a LASIK practice near Matthews.
Dr. Mozayeni was one of two LASIK surgeons my optometrist recommended. I scheduled my free consultation in April 2018. I was extremely pleased that, as promised, Dr. Mozayeni was there during my consultation. I felt really comfortable and knew Dr. Mozayeni was the right doctor to perform my LASIK, so I went ahead and scheduled my surgery for later that month.

Q: We’re honored that you trusted us with your vision. What aspect of your life would you say changed most dramatically after LASIK?
A: I would say the biggest change was not worrying about having to put in or take out contacts or always remember to have contact solution with me. It may sound like a small thing, but contacts can be such a pain – sometimes they tear or dry out, and you always have to be prepared for that. Now, my vision is always clear and doesn't suffer like before when those things would happen. Plus, now that I am a new dad to my baby girl I can always see her clearly and most importantly find her in the middle of the night when she needs me.
Q: What would you tell someone today who is considering LASIK with Dr. Mozayeni?
A: I would say Dr. Mozayeni and his staff are very professional, and they do a great job. I’m really pleased with my experience, and happy I chose Dr. Mozayeni and Providence Eye. Both my family and I felt really safe with everyone there, and I would recommend him to anyone looking to have a LASIK procedure done.
Q: Last question, with your new and improved vision do you prefer sunrises or sunsets?
A: Definitely sunsets!
