Although not the case for all physicians, Dr. Mozayeni knew early on in his medical training that he was most interested in the cornea. (Did you know LASIK surgery is surgery on the cornea?) In 1995, he followed his passion to become a cornea specialist and completed an additional year of training with a cornea fellowship at the University of Minnesota. At the same time, LASIK eye surgery began. Unbeknownst to Dr. Mozayeni, he would eventually uncover the need for his own LASIK practice.
In the year 2000, Dr. Mozayeni moved to Charlotte, NC and worked for another LASIK practice. During these first 3 years, Dr. Mozayeni recognized that he was ready to dedicate his career to LASIK and knew Charlotte would be his new hometown where he wanted to raise his future family.
Since his onset as a laser eye surgeon, Dr. Mozayeni’s personal and professional philosophy has always been to provide outstanding medical care and an unmatched patient experience. After working with another practice, it became clear that to provide the very best LASIK experience, he would have to open and own his own practice.
