Flex Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) for Advanced Lenses

Many companies offer their employees Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) or Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) that allow you to set aside pre-tax earnings to save for medical expenses not covered by insurance – such as refractive lens exchange. You could save up to 20-30% on your procedure with these plans, but we recommend you not enroll in your employee benefits until you:

  • Fully understand your enrollment deadlines
  • Have an evaluation conducted by Dr. Nunnery who will determine if RLE surgery and Advanced Lenses are for you
  • Know the cost of the procedure, so you can allocate the proper amount into your FSA or HSA
  • Understand the timeframe in which you must use your FSA or HSA account money (you don’t want to lose it!)

Financing can be complicated, but we are here to help you simplify the process. The bottom line is that we want to educate you on all of your options when it comes to affording refractive lens exchange surgery in Charlotte. Schedule your eye exam today.
