When Dr. Mozayeni established Providence Eye & Laser Specialists in 2003, he did so with a commitment to always invest in proven, leading edge FDA approved technology that would enable him to provide safe and optimal outcomes for his patients. It was Dr. Mozayeni who introduced all-laser LASIK to the Charlotte region in 2003. With many technological advancements over the past decade, he has held to his commitment and continues to regularly reinvest.
Dr. Mozayeni has only always performed all laser blade free LASIK since establishing Providence Eye in 2003. Since then he has upgraded our lasers 5 times because today's lasers are safer, more predictable and provide accurate results better than ever. Today Dr. Mozayeni is proud to use the WaveLight FS200 and WaveLight EX500 to perform all laser LASIK.
PRK is an alternative to LASIK that Dr. Mozayeni recommends for nearly 25% of our patients because it is the more appropriate procedure for their situation. Unlike LASIK, PRK only requires one laser, the WaveLight EX500.
For patients who are extremely nearsighted or their eye anatomy is not suitable for LASIK or PRK, Providence Eye is pleased to offer the Visian ICL. This tiny lens often times referred to as an 'implantable contact lens', although nothing is in 'contact' with your eye, provides vision correction to those who previously thought they had no option other than thick, heavy glasses.
With "65 being the new 40", the desire for an active lifestyle without being dependent on glasses or contacts is very important to many. Here at Providence Eye, we always start with a blank slate and then recommend procedures that will be safe, meet our patient expectations and provide a long, optimal outcome. For this reason we offer a wide variety of Advanced Intraocular Lenses (IOL) that can be implanted during refractive lens exchange(RLE) utilizing the CATALYS Precision Laser System.
Here at Providence Eye & Laser Specialists, we are proud to offer both traditional cataract surgery and laser assisted cataract surgery utilizing the CATALYS Precision Laser System. Additionally, we are pleased to offer a wide range of Advanced Intraocular Lenses (IOLs) to meet the vision needs of our patients for a wide variety of vision needs and lifestyles.
