When Dr. Mozayeni established Providence Eye & Laser Specialists in 2003, he did so with a commitment to always invest in proven, leading-edge, FDA-approved technology that would enable him to provide safe and optimal outcomes for his patients. It was Dr. Mozayeni who introduced all-laser LASIK to the Charlotte region in 2003. With much technological advancement over the past decade, he has held to his commitment and continues to regularly reinvest and update laser and diagnostic equipment.
Take Our Vision Correction Self Evaluation Quiz
From the day we opened in 2003 our surgeons have always performed all-laser, blade-free LASIK no blades! Since then, we have upgraded our lasers 5 times because the technology available in today's lasers is safer, faster, more predictable and provides accurate results better than ever! Today Dr. Mozayeni and Dr. Nunnery utilize the WaveLight FS200 and WaveLight EX500 to perform all-laser LASIK.
PRK is an alternative to LASIK that our surgeons recommend for approximately 25% of our patients because it is the more appropriate procedure for their eye needs. Unlike LASIK, PRK only requires one laser, the WaveLight EX500.
For patients with moderate to severe myopia (nearsightedness) or whose eye anatomy is not suitable for LASIK or PRK, Providence Eye is pleased to offer the EVO ICL. This tiny lens, often times referred to as an 'implantable contact lens', provides vision correction to those who previously thought they had no option other than thick, heavy glasses.
With "65 being the new 40", the desire for an active lifestyle without being dependent on glasses or contacts is very important to many. Here at Providence Eye, we always start with a blank slate and then recommend procedures that will be safe, meet our patient's expectations and provide a long, optimal outcome. For this reason we offer a wide variety of Advanced Intraocular Lenses (IOL) that can be implanted during laser-assisted refractive lens exchange (RLE).
We are proud to offer both traditional cataract surgery and laser-assisted cataract surgery. Additionally, we offer a wide range of Advanced Intraocular Lenses (IOLs) to meet the vision needs of our patients for a wide variety of vision needs and lifestyles. Thanks to these lenses patients with cataracts may not only be able to have their cataracts removed but also they may be able to greatly reduce or even eliminate the need for glasses.
